Catholic Community of Waukesha

Youth Confirmation

Confirmation is one of the seven Sacraments of our Catholic Faith. Preparation for Confirmation normally takes place during the junior year of high school, and celebration of the Sacrament takes place in the spring.

Orientation for Confirmation takes place in the spring of the sophomore year, and programming begins in early fall. Our program includes the catechetical elements of Community, Worship, Service, and personal discernment. Through small and large group sessions, we help young people grow in and discern their faith. Specific elements of Confirmation preparation include:

  • Orientation and registration in the spring of sophomore year
  • Several large group sessions on Sunday mornings during the year
  • Monthly small faith group meetings guided by the curriculum, Confirmed in the Spirit, from Loyola Press
  • A weekend Confirmation retreat at Camp Whitcomb-Mason
  • Service and Discipleship experiences
  • Multicultural Mass experience
  • Teaching Mass
