History of St. Mary Parish by Deacon Peter Kieffer

While studying and preparing to become an Ordained Priest, Deacon Peter Kieffer wrote a paper on the history of our Parish.  As we enjoyed having Deacon Peter preach and learn at our Parish, we would like to thank him not only for his valuable time, but also for this fine work.  The staff and Parishioners wish Deacon Peter a bright future in the soon to be role of Priest.

On behalf of all the members of St. Mary’s Parish in Waukesha, Wisconsin, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our website. I hope that you find this site informative and helpful. My hope is that you will truly find a home at St. Mary’s and that we will be able to assist you in strengthening your relationship with Jesus Christ.

Since it’s founding over sixty years ago, the Catholic Community of St. Mary’s has worked to become faithful disciples of Jesus through our worship, stewardship, Christian Formation, education, and service in the name of Christ. As a parish community, we work together to support the mission of the Roman Catholic Church especially in our outreach to the poor of our community.

I invite you to consider becoming involved in the life and mission of St. Mary’s. With almost 4,500 members, we rely on parishioners to share their time and talent to further the work of the Lord and spread the Good News of His Kingdom.

The prayer for all who visit us here is that through the intercession of our Blessed Mother, the Patroness of our parish, God will continue to bless and strengthen you with His abiding love and peace.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Rev. Howard G. Haase
