St. John Neumann Parish has been reviewing the results of a feasibility study to determine whether the parish should conduct a capital campaign to fund renovations to the parish facilities. Thanks to everyone who helped with the study, either by completing the mailed survey, or by participating in a personal interview. This is our parish, and your responses were needed to make this important decision.
The study showed that a significant majority support proceeding with the renovation projects and a capital campaign to fund them. A recommendation was made to the Parish Council to proceed, and the Parish Council agreed. The parish leadership supports conducting a capital campaign to fund renovations, in order to make our facilities as welcoming and inviting as the people of the parish. However, we will only perform renovation work once the needed funds are raised. The parish leadership does not support going into debt to fund the projects. We will be asking for your financial commitment in early 2014.
One thing the feasibility study revealed is that more education is needed about the renovation, so the Steering Committee will spend time helping the parish get better informed about the renovation projects and the capital campaign. Please see the documents below for more information.
